What is it, and how does it work?

Choose one week during the month of October to challenge your class to notice the juicy words they encounter in their own reading and writing, in class read alouds, at home, and/or in conversation. Record them on a poster or chart, on a Word Wall with post-its, on a Jamboard or Google doc, or however it’s convenient and useful for your class. Printable poster headers and Jamboard and Google templates below!👇
At the end of the week, take a photo or screenshot of your juicy word collection and Tweet it with the hashtag #juicywordchallenge. Your class will be entered to win a FREE virtual author visit from me, where we’ll discuss juicy writing tips and booktalk juicy reads we’re enjoying.
